COMBINED EVENTS SUCCESS
On Monday 1st July Grace Fielder headed to the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham to represent King’s Hall School as part of the South West Team in the National Athletics Championships.
Competing in the Under 14s in her favoured events of Sprint Hurdles and Long Jump, Grace had high hopes after winning the Regional round at Millfield in the Hurdles and runner up in the Long Jump.
Competing first in the Heats of the Hurdles Grace qualified for the final, winning her heat. She then competed in the Long Jump and with a Personal Best of 4.86m she claimed a Bronze Medal.
Grace then competed in the Final of the Sprint Hurdles where she won in a PB of 12:11 to win Gold and her second national title of the year after claiming gold at the National Schools Biathle Championships earlier in the season!
Next up is the English Schools Combined Events Championships in September.
