This tough off road half marathon tested the metal of the TAC team with

Jon Gilling 3rd overall 1.37.35

James Heal 8th 1.44.24

Ellie Steer 1.58.15

Mark Bysouth 2.01.07 (his first half, you picked a nice easy one to start off with then Mark!!)

Zeke Rawlins 2.08.59

Dartmoor Vale Half in Newton Abbott also attracts a large number of runners, with Taunton AC’s Kirstie Booth and Kim Hill flying the flag for the club.

With time running out for a qualification time for the London Marathon championship places (1.30 half qualifying time) the girls joined forces to test themselves on this challenging hilly course.

Kim already having the qualifying time, paced Kirstie perfectly up to the last 5K, leaving her the last 5K to run in 20 minutes. Running like a woman possessed Kirstie crossed the line with her chip time recording 1.29.59. Job done, and first lady home. Kim came home slightly more leisurely as second lady in 1.31.53.  Great teamwork girls!
